Business Case
Through this assignment, we were provided the opportunity to demonstrate our ability to prepare a convincing business case for a significant educational technology project.
Background: The Vice-President of Someplace University is trying to reduce the cost of textbooks for undergraduate students through the use of OERs (Open Educational Resources) that she assumed are free. This business case's goal is to present the Vice-President with two OER-based alternatives, as well as the status quo in order to compare the three options.
I included an executive summary of my case, a brief description, a listing and discussion of alternatives in the form of a narrative as well as listing of revenues and expenses, a description of criteria for selecting among the alternatives including risk factors and other criteria, and a recommendation of an alternative and projected return-on-investment.
